VALERIO DE BERARDINIS was born in 1957 in Rome where he continues to live and work.
His professional career covers both work as a photographer and as a director of commercials and music videos. As a specialist in portraiture, he works with Europe's major advertising agencies. His photographs have appeared in numerous magazines and billboard campaigns, and he has developed several public awareness campaigns. In 1985 he founded the multi-faceted company, Box 4, which operates as a special effects division for film, a casting service, a computer graphics division and music engineering studio.
A deep interest in social issues is reflected in his personal work such as "Homeless" (found in the archive section of this site under the Italian title "Barboni"). A selection of de Berardinis' best work has been published by the Italian Art Director's Club.
